The thematic framework of the 3-story anthology feature film DEEP CUTS is violence in all of its forms: as a destruction of intimacy, family, integrity, trust.

Cherries
Family tensions are slowly eroding a carefree summer for ten-year old Jakov. When growing intimacy between two older boys ends in tragedy Jakov’s emotional revolt is mixed with his feelings of guilt.

White Bone Death
Sisters Maria and Lucia engage their neighbor Marko in a game called 'white bone death.' The playacting grows into a more serious and dramatic event for both the children and adults.

Objects That Sink
Family gathering will turn strange when daughter appears in front of her parents with a bruise on her face and an unconvincing, cliché excuse for how she got it.
