Lila & Eve
Charles Stone III's drama LILA & EVE stars Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez as two mothers grieving the murders of their children. When the police prove incapable of bringing those responsible to court, the mothers team up as vigilantes and attack the powerful villains they hold responsible.
“It's an actors' piece rather than an action flick, and Davis finds new, moving nuance in the film's familiar beats.”
