Egghead & Twinkie

Freshly out of the closet and heading to college in the fall, teenage animator Twinkie convinces her BFF Egghead to come along on a cross-country road trip to meet her Insta-famous crush in person for the very first time. Bursting with colorful animation, hilarious hijinks, and kinetic comic book flourishes, Egghead & Twinkie is a heartwarmingly sincere directorial debut about embracing your identity and the ups and downs of best friendship.

This screening is sponsored by the Queer Asian Social Club and includes a special Q&A with the director and lead cast of Egghead & Twinkie. The film will be preceded by a 9-minute short, "Baby Gay" written by Melissa Peng and directed by Arielle Frances Bagood.
