Blue Film Screening

“Runtime: 55 minutes, followed by a filmmaker Q&A and discussion.”

The heart of our mission is to create a platform for emerging filmmakers and showcase the richness of storytelling across genres and forms. We believe cinema is at its most powerful when it amplifies voices that might otherwise go unheard, voices that bring fresh perspectives, daring experimentation, and deeply human truths.
This year’s screening captures that vision through a carefully curated mix of work. One film -“Phoenix” - offers a strikingly personal meditation on resilience and transformation, while another - “The Actors Way” - reflects on the actor’s journey, capturing the tension between discipline and vulnerability in the pursuit of art. Placed side by side, they reveal just how wide the spectrum of cinema can be.
Among the featured works are those of Sophie Marita Bach, Lilith Grace, and Bozhidar Krastev, whose films are presented in dialogue with other rising filmmakers. Together, their contributions embody the spirit of the The Blue Film Screening: a celebration of artistic diversity and a reminder of how many ways there are to tell a story.
